Description (field, expectations, comments): The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:
- PhD degree in mathematics (no more than 5 years after obtaining the degree, this period can be extended by the duration of maternity or paternity leave (women may extend the period by 18 months for every child) and long-term illness); We may accept applications from candidates prior to obtaining the PhD degree, but then employment follows the PhD degree,
- a track record in achievements in research (publications, conference presentations etc.),
- research experience at least in one of the following fields: dynamical systems, ergodic theory, number theory, differential equations,
- knowledge of the English language enabling scientific cooperation
The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland, invites applications for four assistant professor position in the field of: dynamical systems, ergodic theory, number theory, differential equations. The research of the candidate should complement and connect with the existing expertise of the Centre of Excellence “Dynamics, Mathematical Analysis and Artificial Intelligence”. The Centre was established in January 1, 2020 for the period of 6 years due to the prestigious label of the “research university” awarded to the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Conditions of employment:
- 12 months position,
- salary (gross) 7 000 PLN per month,
- no teaching duties.
